Travel Clinic

Travel Vaccines, Yellow Fever Clinic & Comprehensive Travel Health Advice

Planning an overseas trip? Our clinic provides travel health advice, recommended vaccinations and destination-specific support to help you prepare for a safer and healthier journey.

Whether you are travelling for a holiday, work, study, family visit, pilgrimage or adventure, travel health planning is an important part of preparing for your trip. Different destinations may have different health risks, vaccine recommendations and entry requirements. Our doctors can provide personalised advice based on your itinerary and health history.

We recommend arranging your travel health consultation as early as possible, especially if you may need multiple vaccines or if you are visiting areas with higher health risks.

Yellow Fever Accredited Practice

Kirribilli Doctors is a Yellow Fever Accredited Vaccination Centre, authorised to provide Yellow Fever vaccinations and issue the official International Certificate of Vaccination required for travel to many countries.

Yellow Fever vaccines are kept in stock and may be administered on the day of your consultation, if clinically appropriate. Following vaccination, patients will receive an officially stamped International Vaccination Certificate for travel purposes.

Appointments can be arranged with our accredited Yellow Fever Vaccination Providers, Dr Eric Chan and Dr Jasmine Somaiya, for travel vaccination advice and Yellow Fever immunisation.

Pre-Travel Advice

A pre-travel consultation can help you prepare for a safer and healthier trip. Travel health risks can vary depending on your destination, length of stay, accommodation, planned activities and personal medical history.

Topics covered during pre-travel consultations

  • Travel vaccine planning

  • Malaria prevention advice where relevant

  • Food and water safety precautions

  • Traveller’s diarrhoea prevention and treatment advice

  • Medication planning and carrying regular prescriptions overseas

  • Insect bite prevention

  • Altitude, cruise, adventure and remote-area travel considerations

  • General health and safety advice for your destination

When to book

We recommend booking your travel health appointment as early as possible before departure. Ideally, you should book at least 4 to 6 weeks before travel.

  • Some vaccines require several weeks to become effective

  • Some vaccines require more than one dose for best protection

  • Last-minute travellers are still encouraged to book, as useful advice and some vaccines may still be provided
